Sri Lanka’s former batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan was known to hit the ground running. The right-hander had also played a key role in taking Sri Lanka to the final of the 2011 World Cup as he was the leading run-getter with 500 runs in the tournament. Dilshan was strong through the off-side and loved taking the attack to the opposition.

Dilshan, who made his debut in 1999, scored 10290 runs in 330 ODI matches at an average of 39.27. The right-hander was able to score 3565 runs in the first ten overs since 2002 in the ODI fold.
