Maxwell got his first international call up in 2012, and soon he started to show his true worth. While Australia won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Maxwell played a crucial role in the middle-order batting as he scored 324 runs in six innings of that tournament at an average of 64.80. As part of his great run of form, he was able to hit 14 sixes in 6 innings.

4. Martin Guptill

New Zealand opener Martin Guptill played a very important role for his national team to reach the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Guptill finished as the leading run-scorer of that tournament as the right-handed batsman scored 547 runs in nine innings, including two centuries and one half-century. Guptill also registered the highest individual score in the CWC history as he scored 237 not out against West Indies in the quarter-final of that tournament. At the end of that tournament, Guptill finished in the fourth position in the most six-hitter list with 16 sixes.

3. Brendon McCullumPlayers who retired early, Cricketers, retirement,

McCullum might have been coming to the end of his career at the 2015 World Cup, but he still had enough in the tank to put in an impressive showing. Not content with scoring the fastest-ever World Cup 50, he also reached the third position in the sixes table, with 17 sixes from 9 innings, and he managed to take New Zealand to their first final. Later, he retired from international cricket in early 2016.

2. AB de Villiers

De Villiers had a hugely impressive World Cup. He hit almost 500 runs over the course of the tournament, as well as managing to set the record for the fastest 50, 100 and 150 runs in the history of ODI. Amazingly, he went on to hit 21 sixes during the World Cup over 7 innings, putting him just behind of Chris Gayle in the top of our list of sixes scored at the 2015 World Cup.

Gayle set records during the 2015 World Cup, putting his name in the history books by hitting the first-ever World Cup double century! He added to this highly impressive feat by hitting a huge 26 sixes in just 6 innings, which placed him well clear of the second in our list and put him top of the list.
