Kumar Sangakkara
The Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batsman is next up in the top runs-scorer list. He holds the third position in the chart with 1532 runs in 35 innings. Known as the hero of Sri Lankan cricket, he gave a bewitching performance in the 2015 World Cup hitting four consecutive centuries. Though even after reaching finals two times, he could not grab the coveted trophy.
With a strike rate of 86.55 at an average of 56.74, Sangakkara has five centuries, the joint second highest hundreds in the mega event, and seven fifties to his name. His 124 runs is the highest score in those 35 innings.
