In two matches that he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, the franchise seemed to be in a different mood altogether. He took four wickets in two matches he played but suffered a shoulder issue and was ruled out. His troubled shoulder seems to be the reason why the franchise released him as Steyn might not be able to play all 14 league matches in a course of five weeks.
Steyn is done with red-ball cricket and has complete focus on white-ball cricket. RCB do not have any overseas pacer in their squad and might bid for Steyn, if they think that he will be fit enough to play complete tournament.
