Twitter Ball: Harbhajan Singh Bashes Zee News By Referring It As 'Zeefaltunews' 1

As Men in Blue would be vying to give their best on field during the ongoing 2017 ICC Champions Trophy in England and Wales after crushing South Africa in the virual quarter-final, off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took to micro-blogging website Twitter — to take a dig at the media house Zee News after the news item carried by its sports section revealed former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has blasted 12 maximums on the bowling of slow bowler, in a domestic match at Rohtak, in Haryana.

The Zee Network stated swashbuckling Virender Sehwag has had blasted Harbhajan when the latter was suffering from fever while referring to ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

The media outlet has further quoted Ravichandran Ashwin, who spoke to Vikram Sathaye in a What The Duck show where he narrated Sehwag has enjoyed his batting against Harbhajan.

“He [Virender Sehwag] gave me a very interesting story. He said he had fever in a game at Rohtak. And smashed Harbhajan for 12 sixes. You know Harbhajan is a good off spinner,” Ashwin revealed in What The Duck show.

Harbhajan, who is also the Brand Ambassador for India for the ICC Champions Trophy, has trolled the website with his hilarious tweet.

The 30-year-old Tamil Nadu-born Ashwin revealed Sehwag opened up about the story while stating he has smoked two sixes while coming as an opener before making a return at the number 10 position owing to the fever – to register another 10 sixes on the bowling of Tubanator when the ball was spinning.

“Every ball because it was spinning. He [Sehwag] said that he hit him even from outside the pitch. Outside off stump and hit him for a six on the leg side,” Ashwin asserted.

In the season two show of ‘What the Duck’ Ashwin revealed he asked Sehwag that senior campaigner Harbhajan was best in business with the ball on what the Delhi-born cricketer-turned-commentator responded: ‘I decided to smack him over the leg side’.

The 36-year-old Punjab-born Harbhajan has featured in 236 One-day Internationals, 103 Tests and 28 Twenty20 Internationals for India.

Since making his debut in 1998, Harbhajan, who has played a pivotal role for India, bagged 417 wickets in long format followed by 269 wickets in ODIs and 25 in T20Is respectively.
