This is it! They have done it and the Mumbai Indians have clinched their third IPL title on the back of a perfect bowling performance which strangled the Rising Pune Supergiant at Hyderabad. Defending just 129 runs, Mumbai never gave up and it was their bowling which won them the game today in front of a jam-packed stadium.
The likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell Johnson and Lasith Malinga proved their class as they even managed to keep the dangerous willow of Steven Smith silent. Thanks to the disciplined bowling, things boiled down to the very last over and it was the veteran Mitchell Johnson who was handed the ball.
