Twitter Goes Berserk After Dhoni Scales Tenth Century Of His ODI Career 1

The former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who was just playing his second game after relinquishing the post of captaincy, today, was a free bird at the crease as it looked like he has not only relinquished captaincy but has also relinquished a huge burden from his shoulders. He was playing freely just like he used to play during his early days.

He came at a time when Indian team was under huge pressure as the home team was three down with a score of 25 on the board and then came the moment when two old friends and safe helmsmen, viz Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni rowed the team’s boat safely and helped team India mount a big total on the board.

They both shared 256 runs for the fourth wicket, to take team India’s boat to a safe total. Both Dhoni and Yuvraj started off cautiously and batted as per the need of the hour but once they both had set their eyes on the ball, they went in a bang band mode.

After Yuvraj’s dismissal, it was Dhoni who did not let the run-rate fall down and continued to send the balls out of the park. He played an innings of 134 in just 122 deliveries, batting at a strike rate 109.83.

Riding on great innings from him and Yuvraj Singh, team India was able to put a humungous total of 381 on the board.
