Sri Lanka finally managed a win on their tour to New Zealand, as the Lions defeated the Blackcaps by 8 wickets in the third ODI at the Saxton Oval in Nelson. Chasing a demanding 277 to win, the Sri Lankans went about their task with ease as the opening partnership between Danushka Gunathilaka and Tillakaratne Dilshan set the foundation for the batsmen to follow. Sri Lanka chased down the target in 46.2 overs and kept their hopes alive in the five-match series. Opener Gunathilaka was named the Man of the Match for his blazing knock of 65.
Twitter lauded Sri Lanka for their victory and below are some of the tweets.
