Australian all-rounder Mitch Marsh showed his extraordinary fishing prowess on Twitter on Monday when he posted a provocative snapshot of himself with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Marsh last week met the former England captain in Sydney after the Gerrard captained the Liverpool Legends team to a comprehensive 4-0 victory over the Australian Legends at ANZ Stadium.
But the 24-year-old Australian cricketer ensured their picture got the internet viral by referring to the Anfield great as a “Manchester United legend” along with a fishing emoji but later clarified it was nothing but a troll.
But unfortunately for some tweet maniacs, the irony was missed.
It was great to meet this Manchester United legend last week in Sydney. pic.twitter.com/dMsKy1lLGW
