India clinched the Test series 2-0 as they bowled out South Africa for 185 in the fourth innings of the match and win the match by 124 runs. This series victory came after the 2-0 T20 and 3-2 ODI series defeat at the hand of South Africa. Ravichandran Ashwin has taken 7 wickets, which is his 15ht career five-wicket haul and second in this match.
With India’s Nagpur Test victory, South Africa’s 9-year-old invincible Test series record at foreign soil has broken. In the post-match ceremony India’s captain Virat Kohli said, “More than the pitch it has been mental blocks, poor shots that led to wickets in the series.” India has won the home series against South Africa for the first time since 2004-05.
Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin has been adjudged man of the match for his 12 wicket haul in the match.

Given that a green/bouncy track is physically likely to last longer than a dry, turning one, the former will always be viewed as ‘fairer’.
