The Supreme Court on Monday (July 18) accepted most of the Lodha Committee recommendations on reforms in BCCI, with a special focus on the board’s administrative and governance structures and the issue of transparency. The board has been handed a deadline of six months to implement the accepted recommendations. Some major recommendations that were passed are a bar on ministers and civil servants and those above 70 from becoming its members, each state being allowed only one vote.
