Tainted pacer Mohammad Amir has finally made his much anticipated return to Test cricket on Thursday(July 14) in the first Test against England.
The left-arm pacer made his Test return after the spot-fixing saga at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground — the venue where his cricketing career came to a gruesome halt in 2010 due to deliberate bowling of no-balls.
Amir spent three months in jail and was banned from all cricket for five years after he was found guilty of spot-fixing. The 24-year old pacer’s ban ended in September last year and he made a return to international cricket when he was selected for Pakistan’s one-day and Twenty20 squads to face New Zealand. However, his Test return divided the cricketing world in two parts. While some supported the pacer’s return others raised their voice against it.
Let us see how the twitter reacted to the pacer’s return:
It would be so amazing if Mohammad Amir starts with a no-ball.
