In what can be termed as a serious heartbreak for cricket fans across the globe, the proposed limited overs series between India and Pakistan has been called off. It is widely believed that the PCB and the BCCI could not reach out to each other properly, thus straining the cricketing ties. The already chaotic political scenes in both the nations further took its toll on the much loved cricket rivalry. After months of speculation, there finally seemed to be some hope for cricket fans, as a series was proposed between the two teams in Sri Lanka. But unfortunately, that was never to happen.
Twitter reacted to the cancellation of the series, and below are some of the tweets.
No cricket series Vs #Pakistan now! Really a worst move from #BCCI ! Always avoiding #Pakistan & players! Even in #Srilanka soil!! #India

Man, so much drama over the proposed #IndvPAK series. Either have it or don’t…why keep everyone hanging for so long? #BCCI #PCB

Don’t understand what more is there to contemplate? Why can’t the Indian gov give a straight answer? #pakvind
— zainab abbas (@ZAbbasOfficial) December 9, 2015
@ZAbbasOfficial The straight answer is that they don’t want to play. Simple as that. We are the ones who are confused and desperately hoping
— Voyager I (@FaujiCement) December 9, 2015
@ZAbbasOfficial Sometimes silence is like a scream. All you need to do is understand. They have been making a fool out of PCB all along.
— Voyager I (@FaujiCement) December 9, 2015
@ZAbbasOfficial @FaujiCement Much better to wait for 6-8 months And have a proper series…..rather than this 3 match Bs
— shashwat jha (@shazwat) December 9, 2015
@FaujiCement cool with it. But that’s not how it’s done. BCCI needs to give an official statement to say it’s off.
