Well, we often come across cricketers posting certain pictures on social media when there are anniversaries or any special moments surround it on that particular day. However, Virat Kohli, all of a sudden, posts a picture of him with MS Dhoni, which was from 2016 T20 World Cup.

It certainly triggered retirement talks on MS Dhoni. As per the lines on a few tweets, it is learnt that the former skipper of India will be attending a press conference to call curtains on his game from ODI format. It means that he could play the upcoming T20I World Cup in 2020.

A special night it was – Virat Kohli

It doesn’t take long on the internet for the speculations to run amok. This is precisely what happened when Virat Kohli posted a throwback picture to 2016 T20 World Cup earlier today with MS Dhoni. The iconic picture showed him on his knees, as he celebrated after Dhoni hit the winning runs in the group game against Australia.

“A game I can never forget. Special night. This man, made me run like in a fitness test,” he captioned the image where he can be seen celebrating the win on his knees while Dhoni is walking towards him.

It’s apparent that Dhoni and Kohli were at the crease as India pulled off a difficult chase of 161 with a number of quick singles and doubles. Kohli’s remarks with respect to Dhoni in his social media post are referring to the same as the duo completed a remarkable victory for their side on a ‘special night’

The match Kohli was referring to was a virtual quarter-final match between India and Australia in T20 World Cup 2016. In the run chase of 161, India were struggling to keep up with the required run rate. Dhoni, who replaced struggling Yuvraj Singh ran as faster as Virat Kohli to make things fall in place.
