Piers Morgan was severely trolled on the social media for slamming India’s performance at the recently concluded Rio 2016 Olympics. The UK Journalist shared his opinion on team India’s run in Rio saying, “Country with 1.2 billion people wildly celebrates 2 losing medals. How embarrassing is that?”
As expected he received a lot of flak for his comments. Virender Sehwag was a notable personality to troll the journalist.
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar, who is known for his outspoken nature, surprised everyone by supporting Morgan’s views and tweeted: “Instead of lashing back at those who take a dig at our Olympic performance, introspection is a better response. Improvement is then possible,”

The comment did not go down too well with the Indians and they blasted Manjrekar for his tweet.
