Two Fraudsters Arrested for Selling Fake Tickets of India-Australia 3rd ODI

Police have arrested two persons who were apparently trying to sell fake tickets to the 3rd One Day International match featuring India and Australia at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. The two fraudsters have been identified as Ravindra Mimrot (24), and Dhiraj Sarwan (23), Additional SP of Crime Branch Amarandra Singh was quoted as saying by India Today.

Cops have seized nine fake tickets from their possession, and the accused had printed 40 fake tickets by taking the help of the scanner, the official said. Meanwhile, it is learnt that they have already sold 31 fake tickets for Rs. 41,000 the official further added.

Meanwhile, India is currently leading the five-match series by a 2-0 margin and a victory today at Indore will ensure a series victory for them with two more matches left. The visitors batted first for the first time in the series, and comeback man Aaron Finch who returned in place of out of form Hilton Cartwright scored a sensational century and took the Indian bowlers to the cleaners.

Captain Steve Smith ably supported him, but after the fall of their wickets, the Aussies couldn’t quite carry on the momentum and lost the plot. In 45 overs they are currently placed at 260/5 with Marcus Stoinis and Peter Handscomb at the crease.
