Team India are likely to create history in the upcoming tour of Australia by playing two matches at the same time in two different venues.

Meanwhile, India will visit Down Under to play three T20Is, four Tests, and three ODIs starting from November 21. It will be a real test of character for Virat Kohli and his boys after suffering defeats in England and South Africa.

The men in blues will start their tour with the three T20Is commencing from November 21, followed by November 23, and 25. On the other hand, the Test series will begin from December 6.

In all likeliness, the fixtures of the first practice match will overlap with the T20I series and players who play all the formats of the game might miss the three T20I games.

It will be interesting to see what ploy does BCCI adopts to handle this kind of a situation. A similar sort of scene was seen in 2017 when the Australian Test team was in India for the four-match series while Australia’s T20I team hosted Sri Lanka. The T20I series ended on February 22 while Test series kicked off next day in India. In a historic move, Cricket Australia had different squads for the two format altogether.

The report further adds that both the teams will have a different set of support staffs. It is likely that India A and U-19 coaching staff headed by Rahul Dravid might look after the preparation of the side while Ravi Shastri will be with the national team for the T20I series.
