Virat Kohli (2008, 2011)

Current Indian skipper Virat Kohli led the Indian team to win the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2008 after beating South Africa in the final. During that tournament, he scored 235 runs in six matches at an average of 47 and finished as the tournament’s third-highest run-getter and one of the three batsmen to score a hundred in that tournament.
Under his captaincy, India U-19 team won that trophy after winning the final against South Africa by 12 runs (D/L method). A few months later, he made his ODI debut for India against Sri Lanka. His consistent performance led him to gain the place in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 squad.
He had a successful World Cup campaign. Virat Kohli became the first batsman to score a century in his maiden World Cup game. In the final of that tournament against Sri Lanka, while India lost both of their opening batsmen quickly, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli handled that early situation very well with the 83-run partnership. Kohli was dismissed for 35 runs. Finally, India won the World Cup 2011 by six wickets.
