No other U-19 captain in the past had created such a buzz. Even before the World Cup, Chand had played IPL and had earned a place in India A squad. He delivered on the promise and led the U-19 team to a triumph by scoring a century in the final against hosts, Australia. It was India’s third U-19 title victory.
