Akhil Herwadkar
Herwadkar had already made his first-class debut for Mumbai before playing the World Cup but he didn’t a single opportunity during the tournament. Although, he played all six games in the 2014 U-19 World Cup.
Tough competition in Mumbai circuit has seen Herwadkar not keeping his spot regularly but he has only 38 first-class matches so far.
Vikas Mishra
He has become the most reliable spinner for his state in red-ball cricket of late. There was a time when Mishra was dropped from the squad but he has made a strong comeback and also earned a spot in Duleep trophy squad.
Sandipan das
The all-rounder from Bengal didn’t get to play in the tournament but he soon made his debut for Bengal. The 27-year-old isn’t a regular for his state now and hasn’t played a domestic match since 2015.
Rush Kalaria
The left-arm continues to be the mainstay for Gujarat but isn’t in the scheme of things at the national level. Kalaria has been part of India A squad. He has played 50 first-class, 46 List A and 27 T20s.
