India Vs South Afrcia: Umesh Yadav Credits Wriddhiman Saha For His Wicket

India has won the Test Series against South Africa by 2-0 with one Test to go. India has registered the win in the second Test match by an innings and 137 runs. The Proteas had a low starting in the second Test match as they lost their top order and middle-order batsmen early. The player who especially snatched the attention during the second Test match was the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha.

Rishabh Pant-replacement Saha was outstanding in the field. He played with concentration and eyed every ball behind the stumps. He had command in his fielding area and controlled every ball behind the wicket.
At the end of the second Test match, Saha was asked about his preparation for the match. He credited the trainers and also the bowlers who helped him during the Practice match.
Saha claimed, “Umesh, Ishant and Shami bowl at me, and we practice that way, they give me some really good practice with the moving ball. Our trainers help us out with stretches, ice-baths, and we are trained for the match-day really well, so credit to them for my fitness as well as my wicketkeeping performance.”
Indian pacers Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami were dominant in the field. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was also successful in taking wickets. Umesh Yadav who has made a comeback in the team after a long time was tremendous with the ball. In the second Test match, he picked six wickets of the visitors.

Wriddhiman Saha picked two catches of the Proteas on the Umesh Yadav’s ball. One was the unbelievable catch of Theunis de Bruyn when he dived and took the catch with one hand. Umesh Yadav credit Saha’s for that wicket. He said that he thanked God and Saha for taking that catch.
Umesh said, “I think I should treat him for those wickets down leg-side and that first catch, and I think they are Saha’s wickets. I thought they were going for boundaries, that’s always the thought when it’s down leg-side, but I was thanking God and Saha that I got those wickets.”
India, after winning the second Test match, has added 40 points in the ICC World Test Championship 2019-21. India is at the top of the points table with 200 points.
