Australian batsman Usman Khawaja who is signed by Rising Pune Supergiants as a replacement for injured batsman Kevin Pietersen received an unexpected welcome from his franchise.
Khawaja took to twitter to express his amusement at having his name misspelled on his jersey. The typographical error reads ‘Khawaja ‘ as ‘Khwaja’.
Khawaja tweeted a picture of his Pune Supergiants jersey today with his new playing number ‘100’ placed above his new name ‘Khwaja’.
Looks like Pune were expecting 'Khwaja' to come play. I better go home ?. #typo #pune #IPL #india #cricket #delhi pic.twitter.com/fdkcSph7TM

Khawaja was in superb form throughout the summer. He played a big role for his side Sydney Thunder’s triumphant campaign with two unbeaten centuries and two fifties in the
in only five matches. He was also Australia’s leading run-scorer in the recently concluded World T20. He is expected to play his first game in IPL against Delhi Daredevils.
