Indian speedster Varun Aaron has said that he still hopes to make a comeback in Team India and winning the IPL will him in his cause. He last played in the Indian colours back in November 2015 and hasn’t earned a call-up since. The speedster had broken into the side after being heralded as the new Shaun Tait of India. He likewise, was unable to maintain his length and line and after making 9 appearances in Test and 9 in ODI disappeared off the scene.

Varun who bowls in the plus of 145 kmph, will play his second IPL season with Rajasthan Royals this term and is hoping to win the IPL and regaining his form to earn a call-up from India. He has previously represented  Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the IPL

Varun Aaron still fancies a chance of making a comeback to Team India and that he reckons is his biggest motivation. He wants to help RR win the IPL this year and that he thinks it will open up a gateway of opportunity for them. The speedster also intends to not reduce his pace, which is one cause of his injury marred career and he tells he is the best shape of his life at the moment.

“I definitely fancy a chance of coming back, that’s still the biggest motivation. I see myself coming back. For starters, I need to help Royals win the trophy this year and a lot of roads will open up from there,”

‘‘I don’t intend to reduce my pace. Injuries are a part and parcel for a fast bowler’s career…it has taught me a lot of lessons about cricket and life. However, at this stage, I feel at the peak of my fitness again and feel really good that my pace hasn’t reduced at all,” Varun Aaron said in an interview with Gulf News.

Rajasthan Royals’ aim their Second IPL Title with new skipper Steve Smith

Rajasthan Royals had traded captain Ajinkya Rahane to Delhi capitals for this term and appointed Steve Smith as the leader, eyeing their second IPL Title. RR squad members including Steve Smith, Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler and Tom Curran will travel to UAE on 17th September to join the squad. They are in England to play a bilateral series between Australia and England which will conclude on 16th September.

The IPL 2020 will begin from September 19 till November 10, a total 53-day campaign will see all the 8 teams play in UAE. The venue this time is UAE and matches will be played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
