At the age of 25, India’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar is no stranger to the ups and downs of the game. The highs of ICC Champions Trophy 2013, England tour in 2014 and the lows of missing out in the playing 11 of the ICC World Cup 2015 due to an ankle injury sums up the major part of Bhuvi’s international career.

After the World Cup got over, quite a few people started asking questions whether Bhuvneshwar Kumar would be the same bowler as he was six months back? It was quite apt to ask this because in India, we have seen a lot of fast-bowlers, who shine early and fade when in the later part of their career. But against all odds, Bhuvneshwar Kumar rose to the occasion in the ongoing eighth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and turned out to their best bowler of the season. With 18 wickets in 14 matches at a decent economy of 7.87, he shut all doubts raised against him and the fitness levels also matched up to the expectations. One good thing was that he spearheaded SRH bowling attack which had the likes of Trent Boult and Dale Steyn and was impeccable with his bowling lengths and yorkers.
