Lasith Malinga has announced his return to international cricket in some style. Being picked up for the three T20Is against Australia, Malinga produced a seed of a delivery to dismiss a batsman during Sri Lanka’s one-off practice game against President XI at Canberra on Wednesday.
Having known to deliver the most difficult delivery in cricket, the yorker, ever so smoothly in past, Malinga returned to haunt batsmen yet again. After bowling first, it took him three deliveries in the first over to get into his groove, before unleashing his deadly yorker to dislaunch opener D’Arcy Short’s middle-stump.
Sticking to the basics learnt, he bowled an excellent length, which swung enough to deceive the batsman and saw the middle-stump go for an outing. To say the least, it was a treat for the onlookers and surely for the viewers watching on television. Here’s the video of it:
