The third ODI in Melbourne on 17th January 2016 cricket world has seen Indian limited over captain MS Dhoni’s outstanding glovework with the agility of Umesh Yadav gave India an important wicket at a crucial juncture of the match. In a must-win encounter at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, India fought hard but Australians were too strong for India. But, skipper MSD showed great athleticism and skilled behind the wicket. India batting first scored a competitive 295 for six in 50 overs with Virat Kohli scoring a run a ball 117.

Australia when came to chase the target fall in trouble at one stage but they knocked off the required runs with 1.1 overs to spare. In the 36th over batsman Glenn Maxwell stepped out to the first ball of Barinder Sran and crunched it wide of the mid off.

Yadav chased the ball with intent, turned around and fired a throw towards Dhoni’s end. Mitchell Marsh was strolling back casually as the stumps are broken down by the Indian captain, who didn’t give any hint of rushing in to take the throw at all.

Marsh was surprised with Dhoni’s brisk wicketkeeping. The calm and casual manner in which Dhoni approached the stumps gave an impression that the run was never on. Another wicket of Matthew Wade gave India a ray of hope after reducing the home side to 215 for 6 however Maxwell guided Australia to victory and ensure the series victory too.
