Carrying on his rich vein of form in England in the ongoing County Circuit, India’s ace spinner R. Ashwin endured yet another productive outing for his side. Representing Worcestershire in his fourth game of the season so far, Ashwin produced a sensational batting effort to rescue his team from dire straits.
Thanks to his gritty knock of 82 in the first innings, Worcestershire could get to a healthy total of 330 after being in deep waters at one stage. Ashwin however, wasn’t done there as he went on to complete a fully memorable day.
With the ball in his hand, Ashwin weaved his magic yet again as he dismissed Durham’s captain and England’s 2010 World T20 winning captain Paul Collingwood with an absolute beauty. Collingwood was completely bamboozled with Ashwin’s delivery as the Indian all-rounder looked menacing.
The delivery pitched outside off towards the shorter side, and then spun in viciously to catch Collingwood off guard. As a result, Collingwood’s stumps have been entirely shattered. Below, is the video of that magical delivery from Ashwin.
