Video: Sanjay Manjrekar Analyses Virat Kohli's Dismissal! 1

As the ball spun a mile in Bengaluru on the day one after exploding from the pitch, cricketer-turned-commentator discussed Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s dismissal with his fellow commentators during the ongoing second Test match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium of the four-match Test series.

“Just want to make a point on Virat Kohli’s dismissal as lots of people are wondering why he leaves a ball alone (in Bangalore Test),” Manjrekar said.

Hardly, have we seen Kohli leaving the ball, but in Bengaluru, he left alone Nathan Lyon’s ball which caught him plumb in front when it his around his knee roll.

Before he was declared LBW, Kohli faced a similar sort of a delivery which bounced and lobbed up in the air as close-in fielder completed the catch as the replays suggested it brushed Kohli’s pad after he offered a shot.

“If you’re wondering why such a terrific batsman makes an error of judgement is always a preamble to things, a prelude. It was that ball early in the over that bounced, turned and there was the mild appeal as well, Manjrekar concluded.

The 51-year-old Mangalore-born Manjrekar had played 37 Tests for India.
