Since his arrival at the crease after the dismissal of Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane found himself in a bit of frustration as he was struggling to score runs. The frustration to score runs was palpable as like every Indian batsman, Rahane too wasn’t having a great time at the crease.
The inability to score runs reached its hype and to shrug off the tension, he just walked down his crease in a hope to hit Nathan Lyon down the ground, just to miss the ball and get stumped.
Rahane made the biggest gaffe of his innings as the pressure was building on him and he without mindlessly just ran down the crease to take on Lyon but missed the ball completely.
Though wicket-keeper Matthew Wade also could not carry the ball but Rahane had moved too much down the pitch that he had no chance to have a walk back at the crease.
He was dismissed on a score of 17 and it was Australian players which cheered its bowler Nathan Lyon in joy.
