One highly impressive aspect about the IPL is that young players are willing to go the distance and give their absolute best in order to achieve the desired results. This was witnessed once again in the opening game of the tenth edition between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Hyderabad tonight.
After being put in to bat first on an absolute belter of a pitch, the Sunrisers Hyderabad seem to be headed towards a massive total. After Shikhar Dhawan set the base with a solid knock of 40 at the top, it was time for India’s evergreen match winner, Yuvraj Singh to take over.
Yuvraj seemed to be in the flow from the very offset as he belted Aniket Choudhary for 18 runs in an over. Royal Challengers skipper Shane Watson took a gamble by handing leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal the ball against an in-form Yuvraj Singh.
On the fifth delivery of the 16th over, Chahal smartly bowled a ball way outside off to Yuvraj and the latter responded by going over extra cover for the maximum. The ball seemed to be headed for a certain six, before Mandeep Singh, out of nowhere dived full length to save the six.
Mandeep flew across to save the six and ended up saving 5 crucial runs for his side. Below, is the video of that effort from Mandeep Singh.
