Vijay Hazare Trophy 2016/17: Unmukt Chand Back In Delhi Squad, Pawan Negi Dropped 1

Unmukt Chand, former India U-19 World Cup winning captain, has made a comeback to the Delhi squad for the remainder of the matches of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2016/17. Earlier, he was not a part of the 15-member squad announced for the first three games of the tournament.

Chand has been called up in place of middle-order batsman Nitish Rana, who has been able to score just 10 runs in three innings. Same is the case with all-rounder Pawan Negi, who has been replaced by left-arm pacer Pawan Suyal. Till now, Negi has leaked 234 runs with the ball and has just scored 44 runs in three games.

Currently, Delhi is going through a rough patch as they’ve lost all their three games till now. Along with that, the form of Shikhar Dhawan is also a worrying factor for the team. Gautam Gambhir, the second opener in the team, has scored two half-centuries in three games but has failed to carry his team to a winning position.

Delhi are already out of the tournament and will face Tripura in their next game on March 3 in Cuttack.
