Veteran cricketer Vinay Kumar will once again lead the reigning champions Karnataka in the upcoming Vijay Hazare One-Day Tournament starting from September 19.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul and Manish Pandey will miss the tournament as they are on national duty for the Asia Cup. Fast bowler M.G Naveen has replaced pacer T. Pradeep who featured in the Karnataka winning team in the previous season.

Furthermore, veteran left-arm pacer Sreenath Aravind will look after the bowling department after getting only two games last season. On the other hand, Mayank Agarwal is also part of the defending champions squad vijay hazare trophy 2017 jharkhand

Agarwal has been in prolific form with the bat in the last one year. The talismanic run-scorer had scored more than 700 runs in the previous season of the Vijay Hazare. However, Agarwal, who failed to grab an India despite consistent show will look to continue his dream run.

Krishnappa Gowtham, who made headlines playing for the Rajasthan Royals, also finds a place in the squad. Gowtham made significant contributions for the IPL franchise in all the department. Furthermore, veteran all-rounder Stuart Binny also retained his spot in the team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

India international, who was a mere passenger during India’s tour to England will strengthen the Karnataka batting. Karun has been a terrific scorer in the past few years and will be pivotal to his state’s chances.

The Yere Gould coached side, Karnataka will start their campaign against Maharashtra on September 20.
