At the age of 24, Virat Kohli has achieved a lot. He crossed 5000 runs in ODIs and is towards his 20th century, 6 Test centuries to accompany them and a productive deal with his Indian Premier League franchise, the Royal Challengers Bangalore, seeing him as a captain of superstars. His bad manners on the pitch and his mannerism have earned him a reputation as a bad boy, as well as millions of adoring fans. He’s the current day Indian rock-star with the skill to create the planet alight.

In 2008 he made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka. Two years later he made his T20 international debut against a weak Zimbabwean team, by then he was regular ODI team member. After been part in 2001 Successful World Cup victory campaign, finally he got his Test cap.

However, he started with failures on debut but they were a blessing in disguise. In came Kohli – the great white hope of Indian cricket. Old changed to new and Kohli was the poster for a new era of Indian cricket. He was the perfect player to many years of careful, precise ODI batting, and the quick feet as well as faster hands grew to become his trademark. His aspect of his ODI game is just as impressive as the way Sehwag or Gilchrist would launch an innings, or even the accurate pacing of the chase that’s the objective of a Misbah-ul-Haq innings. More often Kohli can turn the game around.

This is the age of revolution. Whilst cricketers 10 years ago learnt to build an innings, to occupy the crease, and to put a price on their wickets, today’s breed are totally different beasts. And Kohli is a type of player who attacks with putting price to his wicket.

With his back foot punch over cover, or his pulls in front of square, he strikes with tremoundous power. He is a player who takes over the career of bowlers. He is the nightmare of the bowlers who bowl to him.

Virat Kohli displays a pure disregard for the cricket ball and, much more importantly, that has shipped it, is an excellent, arrogant trait. He is the best tonic to Tendulkar’s retirement – he is the flawed hero India didn’t need, but wanted.

However, Kohli is a true Cricketer with lots of dedication & concentration. He is the biggest Cricket Addictor, a batsman for a lots of bowler carrier. Moreover, he is a nightmare for the opposition.
