Earlier this week, Virat Kohli’s announcement of the arrival of his first child in January 2021 had made everyone happy but also added insecurity among his fans about his availability for Australia’s tour scheduled later this year. But as per the reports, Kohli has not made himself unavailable for the much-awaited tour. Currently, he is in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to feature in the IPL 2020 edition.
Last year, Virat Kohli created history after leading the Team India to their maiden Test series victory on Australian soil. He became the first Indian captain to achieve this feat. The flamboyant batsman had an average tour as he amassed 282 in seven innings at an average of 40.28 with one hundred and a half-century. However, the results turned out to be the most remarkable achievement of his career.

Indian captain’s Virat Kohli impact in the team’s result is massive so his absence will surely cost the team in Australia if he made himself unavailable prior to the series Down Under. Moreover, not only the team’s performance but the revenue generation will also get a huge blow because Kohli is one of the biggest crowd-pullers.
But so far, as per the source, Team India skipper will be touring with the team in Australia despite his wife is expecting the first childbirth that time around.
“He’s available for the tour, at least he has not said anything to the contrary,” said the official, who asked to remain anonymous.
“Now, if he has to come back in the middle of the tour, he has not said anything about that either. Of course, there’s plenty of time before the series.”
Virat Kohli is expected to tour Australia soon after IPL:

Soon after playing the IPL, Team India players would travel to Australia to play three-match T20I series following which they will play the four-match Test series. In January, they are scheduled to play one-day series.
The series against India is reportedly worth 300 million Australian dollars ($220 million) to CA. Thus, it is a huge revenue generation part for the board.
