Pakistan cricketer Babar Azam has impressed with his batting performance against Sri Lanka where he scored his third Test century. The 25-year-old has been a top performer for the Pakistan team in every format. Thus, his performance is compared with the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and the New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.

Earlier, when Pakistan toured Australia, Babar was the top scorer for his team though the team lost both the Test matches. He was the only player who showed temperament to play the Test match as he went on to score a hundred and one nervous-ninety in Australian condition.

Recently, in the first Test Match against Sri Lanka, he played another amazing knock at Rawalpindi, went on to score unbeaten 102 runs. However, the Test match was declared drawn due to weather conditions. He is among the Top 10 Test players in the cricket world. For his performance, he is now and then compared with Kohli.

Babar Azam is happy on comparison with Virat Kohli

Babar Azam, who is the no.1 T20I batsman, is delighted for his name taken with Kohli and Williamson. But Babar believes that he can not beat Kohli when comes into playing cover drive. He has opined that Kohli has better cover drive than him. The Indian skipper is said to be the master of drive which is an eye-catching shot when he is in the field.

“We are excited about the Test match in Karachi. Virat Kohli has a better cover drive than me. We will try to win in Karachi. I have faith in myself. I work hard and that is my only secret. I am really happy when my name is taken in the same breath as Kohli and Williamson,” Babar said.

Sri Lanka is touring Pakistan for the second time this year and this time to play the Test series. Pakistan is playing a Test series in the home ground after a decade. The two teams will head to play the second Test match at Karachi from Thursday (19th December).
