In his 11th ODI match, Kohli played an inning of 183 runs in 148 balls against Pakistan which is the highest ODI score, completed the target of 330 runs and led Team India to victory. In this inning, he slammed a total of 22 fours and one six. Virat was chosen man of the match for this brilliant inning.

Virat Kohli started his career in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008. Then Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bought him for Rs 20 lakh. Kohli scored 165 runs in 13 matches at an average of 15 that season. 

IPL 2013 proved to be a turning point for Kohli. This season, RCB appointed Kohli as the captain of its team. That season RCB stood fifth in the points table.
