Virat Kohli Can Bat at Night Without Lights, Says Sunil Gavaskar
Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar has heaped praises on Virat Kohli and has said that Kohli can bat at midnight, even without lights and even then, he will end up scoring many runs. In the ongoing T20 series between India and Australia, Kohli has scored a half century in both the games. Earlier, he had scored two ODI centuries in the ODI series.
Talking about his form, Gavaskar said that he is raising the bar for the upcoming players and the kind of form he is in is what players dream to be in. This is clearly evident from the way he is scoring runs. Australians have struggled to get him out and are waiting for him to make a mistake, he added.
When asked if Yuvraj Singh should be promoted to bat high up the order, Gavaskar said that Indian team should not make any changes in the order and Kohli should continue to bat at number 3. He is in good form and when someone is in such a form, one should not make any changes with his batting order. He added that he wants India to make a clean sweep here.
For Yuvraj Singh, he said that he can bat in Asia Cup or in the series against Sri Lanka. He also said that Indian team is now balanced and is getting the desired result. There are so many batting and bowling options and the fact that Harbhajan Singh is on the bench speaks volumes of the team.
Gavaskar was critical of Australian team resting Warner and Smith so that they could prepare for the New Zealand series
