Team India skipper Virat Kohli has cancelled a Rs 34 crores luxury apartment which he had booked in the Omkar 1973 Tower. It is located in the Tony Worli area of Megapolis. It must be noted that it was in June 2016 that Virat had bought a 7,171 sqft sea view apartment on the 35th floor of the under-construction tower C. The project which is a very luxurious one costs around Rs 34 crores. The Omkar Realtors and Developers are developing the project in unison.
As per reports from the closed sources, the transaction was cancelled. It further stated that the Indian skipper had recently leased out a sea-view apartment in the skyscraper by the Raheja group. It is located in the nearby Dr Annie Besant Road for a monthly rental of Rs 15 lakhs per month. The flat which is being constructed has a total surface area of 2,675.07 sqft. It is located on 40th floor.
Kohli has been the top performer for India across all three formats of the game in recent times and has churned out runs with utmost ease. He smashed four centuries on tour to South Africa. Kohli was the only centurion in the Test series while he scored 3 tons in the ODI series. He also ended the six-match series with 558 runs, the most by any batsman in a bilateral ODI series.
Keeping his workload in mind, Kohli was given a break from the recently concluded Nidahas Trophy which India won in a dramatic fashion beating Bangladesh in the final delivery. He will return for the upcoming India Premier League and will be hoping to lead his franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore to a title win for the very first time. Despite having a team loaded with superstars on most of the seasons, RCB has failed to execute their plans in crucial junctures which has not allowed them to win a single tournament till now.
