Team India skipper Virat Kohli heaped praise on the Afghanistan Cricket team for their upward rise in international cricket and also for organising their T20 tournament which ended on 22nd September.
In a video posted by the official twitter handle of Afghan Cricket Board, Virat Kohli is seen congratulating them. He started off the video by lauding them on organising their T20 tournament named the Shpageeza tournament which ended last month.
He wished them all the very best for their future and congratulated them on the wonderful journey they had in their cricketing history till now. Kohli said it was amazing to see them play and he has been following them for a long time.

Kohli hasn’t been to Afghanistan in his life so far but conceded the fact that he has heard a lot about the country and seeing the passion in the eyes of the cricketers, he also feels that other people of the country will have the same sort of passion in whatever they do. He also lauded them for having a strong vision.
The 2nd highest century-maker in ODI’s, Kohli said in his small cricketing journey so far one thing which he has learnt that hard work and self-belief always makes a man successful, but he has to endure it for a long time. He further added that there will always be distractions in the journey, but if one can remain true to oneself, then success will follow.
He asked the Afghan cricketers to create their own identity as players and not to follow some particular cricketer blindly. Kohli said that one should learn certain traits from his favourite cricketer but following someone blindly affects the individuality of the player.
The skipper of the Indian team will be gearing up for the limited-overs series against New Zealand starting on 22nd October.

Meanwhile, it must get noted that Afghanistan has taken giant strides in international cricket in the recent past and became the 11th team to be granted Test status earlier in the year along with Ireland.
