With the Indian fans expecting Virat Kohli’s side to enter as favourites and secure the nation’s 3rd world title, Simon Katich believes the current squad has the potential to be crowned champions in England, especially, under the captaincy of Virat Kohli.

In an interview with TimesofIndia.com, the Aussie said that he finds Virat Kohli destined to achieve great things in his promising career. And also, he believes that the upcoming 2019 showpiece at England and Wales can be the perfect timing for Virat Kohli and Co to enter the history books.
”There is no doubt he (Kohli) is driven to be the best. As a leader and also as a player. And also, I won’t be surprised if he achieves that goal with quality players in the Indian squad,” Katich said.

The former Aussie batsman feels that one cannot write King Kohli off. He highlighted the fact that Indian National Cricket Team has won the series against Australia in the Test series under his captaincy. It was the first time for India.
‘I don’t want to write Virat Kohli off. He has led India to a maiden Test series win in Australia. And also, he is phenomenal as a skipper,” Simon Katich was quoted as saying by TOI.
Well, as Simon Katich said, the Indian National Cricket Team has got all the required ingredients in their kitty to make things fall in place. And also, hopefully, Virat Kohli would have saved his best for the team.
Currently, Virat Kohli is having a good break from the game of cricket. If the reports are to be believed, he will join the team in the next 10 days to travel to England for the ICC World Cup 2019.
