Virat Kohli Is Like A Diamond In The Team: Sourav Ganguly 1

Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly lavished praise on India stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma after their stunning performances in the first ODI against Windies.

India faced a tough task when their bowling innings came to an end. The visitors came up with a fine show to set India a daunting target of 323. Chasing 300-plus total is never an easy task let alone doing it under the lights. India’s task became only tougher when they lost in-form opener Shikhar Dhawan for just 4.

However, Rohit Sharma and skipper Virat Kohli compiled brilliant centuries to fire the team to a comprehensive 8-wicket win.  Once both the players joined hands in the middle, there was absolutely no stopping them. Kohli looked in his elements right from the word go while Rohit played the role of second fiddle to perfection.

“Virat Kohli is a great player. Anything is possible for him. In 80s we had Gavaskar, then Sachin came and now we have Virat Kohli. With his impressive strokeplay, he also inspires other batsmen. Kohli is like a diamond in the team. He makes batting look so easy when he comes at the crease,” Ganguly told India TV.
