Indian skipper Virat Kohli has left a heart-warming message on his Twitter account after the Australia’s theatrical collapse allowed India to win the Bengaluru Test match by 75 runs as the hosts’ bowlers made a fighting comeback to bundle out visitors for 112 on the fourth day of the second Test to level the four-match Test series 1-1.
“Special day this. We are a team. We win together we lose together. Proud of you boys. Jai Hind,” Kohli tweeted on Tuesday.
After the dramatic victory, the 28-year-old aggressive Kohli said he’s proud of the team – the way they have shown the courage to pull off the spectacular win against the Kangaroos after saying it was the special moment for him as they’ve played like a strong unit.
It’s Kohli’s self-belief that motivates the team and the way he shows his energy on-field is one of the major factors for his success. However, he has failed to live up to his expectations in this series so far where he has registered only 40 runs in four innings; 0, 12, 13, 15.
The featured image of this article shows the celebration dash of Kohli which further sums up the story of the M. Chinnaswamy Test for the delighted hosts.
Interestingly, the picture which Kohli posted with the congratulatory tweet reads ‘Home Theatre’ which indeed turned out to be the home theatre for bowlers following the twists and turns for the hosts after Ravichandran Ashwin rolled his golden arm for a six-fer to doom the visitors on the penultimate day of the Test match.
