In most of the latest New Zealand tour, Indian captain Virat Kohli controlled his aggressive nature. But, in the last game of the Test series on this tour, Kohli returned to his aggressive nature and entered into the controversy again. After that game, when a New Zealand journalist asked him about that, the Indian captain lost his cool.
Owing to an entire New Zealand tour, Kohli mostly remained silent with the bat. In fact, among his all the full international tours (where he played all the three formats), it was his worst tour. In terms of aggregate runs, Kohli scored 218 runs in 11 innings (average 19.81).
In the Test series of this tour, Kohli scored 2, 19, 3 and 14 runs.
Though Virat Kohli mostly remained calm in this New Zealand tour, he broke that nature in the last game of this tour at Christchurch Test.
On day two of that Test match, Kohli celebrated aggressively during the dismissals of some of the New Zealand batsmen in the first innings. He even showed aggression towards the crowd and used some foul mouth taunts.
In the post-match press conference, when a New Zealand journalist asked him about that behaviour, Kohli lost his cool.
However, the Indian captain has also revealed that he already talked with match referee on that matter.
Here is that conversation moment between Virat Kohli and the journalist:
Journalist: Virat, what’s your reaction to your behaviour on the field, swearing at Williamson when he got out, swearing at the crowd. As an Indian captain, don’t you think you should set a better example on the field?
Virat Kohli: What do you think?
Journalist: I asked you the question?
Virat Kohli: I am asking you the answer.
Journalist: You need to set better examples.
Virat Kohli: You need to find out exactly what happened and come up with better questions. You can’t come here with half questions or half details of what happened. And also, if you want to create controversy, this is not the right place. I had spoken to the match referee. He had no issues with what happened. Thank You.

It is not the first time when Kohli has entered into the controversy for his aggressive nature. He is known for this attitude and had been animated on the field.
