The India National Cricket Team captain, Virat Kohli has been in the news, both for his on and off-field exploits. Though he churns out runs at will on the pitch, Virat got named as the most valuable celebrity in 2018; for the consecutive time. Meanwhile, he saw his brand value getting increased by 18% to $170 million since 2017.

Virat endorsed 24 brands as of November 2018

The Global Valuation and Corporate finance advisors, Duff & Phelps; in its fourth edition of the report on India’s most valuable celebrity brands, on Thursday, revealed Virat endorsed 24 brands as of November 28.

”While Bollywood celebrities dominate the rankings of the top 20 celebrities, sportspersons provide tough competition. Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and PV Sindhu collectively contributed almost USD 241 million, which is over 27 per cent of the cumulative brand value of the top 20 celebrities pegged at USD 877 million,” Duff & Phelps managing director Aviral Jain said.

Meanwhile, there were notable celebrities who saw a rise in their rankings as well. Deepika Padukone, who is second on the list has the valuation of $102.5 million; also, she jumped one place since 2017. Furthermore, the Bollywood heartthrob endorsed 21 brands as of November 2018.

Also, the other film stars who jumped higher in the rankings are Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh. Though Akshay is listed fourth on the chart with a value of $67.3 million, Ranveer follows him, as his valuation reads $63 million.

Yes, they are the most talked about couple in the cricketing circuit, if not in the Bollywood industry. However, Virat-Anushka has endorsed a few brands together, and thus have entered the elite list.

“The coming together of a power couple creates a larger platform that brands want to leverage to target the youth. This year, power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have endorsed around 40 brands together such as Head and Shoulders, Manyavar, Pepsi, Celkon, Boost, Audi, Fastrack, Goinee, Wrogn and Polaroid,” it said.

Meanwhile, it clearly indicated the way Virat conducts himself on the field. He has been the best batsman across formats in past a few years, and if he continues to perform well, he could well lead the chart in years.
