Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have unveiled their new logo on Friday (14th February). However, their captain Virat Kohli shared it in his style.
Though the schedule hasn’t come yet, IPL 2020 is around one-and-a-half-month away to begin. Every fan is waiting to see another thrilling edition in IPL history. RCB fans are amongst them. Though RCB as a team hasn’t won the trophy yet, they finished as the runners-up three times (2009, 2011 and 2016) and also they are one of the most entertaining sides.
Just a few days ago, RCB deleted their previous logo from the social media accounts. The RCB and Indian teammates Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal also shared that incident on their social media accounts.
Finally, on Friday, the franchise revealed the reason of those removals. In the new decade, the franchise has come with the new design.
It is the fourth logo of RCB. After the inaugural IPL season (2008), they slightly changed the logo in 2009 and continued that till 2015. They brought another logo ahead of the IPL 2016, and they continued it till the last season (IPL 2019).

Kohli first time led the RCB team in IPL 2011 when the regular captain Daniel Vettori was injured. From 2013, Kohli is continuously handling the leadership role of this particular team. Kohli-led RCB has played 110 IPL matches, out of which, they have won 49 games and lost 55 times (2 tied and 4 no result).
Under Kohli’s captaincy, RCB reached the IPL final once (2016) and lost that eventually. In IPL 2015, Kohli-led RCB finished in the third position after they were eliminated from the Qualifier 2. In the remaining seasons, his team failed to finish in the top four positions.
In the last IPL season (IPL 2019), they finished in the last position.
However, like the fans, the captain and the entire team are getting ready to start a new journey in the new decade.
