Indian batsman Virat Kohli has redeemed the number one position in the ICC ODI ranking table with 881 points. He has earned 886 rating points after a match-winning ton against Bangladesh which is his career best rating. He has leapfrogged Proteas ODI skipper AB De Villiers with nine points in front of him.

Before going in the ODI series against New Zealand, Virat Kohli managed to secure the second position in the rank table. But he was only two points behind De Villiers when he embarked on his Asia Cup Campaign.

Last one year statistics showed that Virat has scored 1580 runs in 31 innings at an average of 60.76. While De Villiers had made 1156 runs at an average of 52.54 in 25 innings. This difference puts Kohli ahead of Villiers after the cut off day of ICC ODI rankings.

Kohli hit six centuries in last one year, four of among which were established on foreign land and three of which were produced as a skipper. And his Asia Cup statistics reveal that he did 189 ladders in 3 innings. His match-winning 136 runs against Bangladesh team earned him 12 rating points which build his points 886 and make him stay at the height of the mesa. Only the spots have reduced to 881 at the time when he closed his Asia Cup campaign, as he made 48 runs against Sri Lanka and 5 runs against Pakistan and that cut his 5 evaluation levels.

The others Indian batsmen in the top 10 rank tables are MS Dhoni, who has secured the sixth position and Shikhar Dhawan is securing the eighth position. Rohit Sharma is at 22nd position with the uplifting of one place. Ravindra Jadeja secured 50th place with the uplifting of 12th places.

On the other hand two Indians bowlers acquire to be in top 10. They are Ravindra Jadeja is securing the 5th place and R. Ashwin claims the 14th position. Jadeja uplifted four positions after having seven wickets in the four matches in the Asia Cup and Ashwin got a lift of seven positions after he secured nine wickets in the series.

Although India could not scratch the Asia Cup but Indian team still secures the 2nd place in the ICC ODI ranking having 112 points and is passing away to get a prize money of $75,000. While Sri Lanka takes the 3rd place in the rank table, owning exactly one point behind India. There are no other changes in the rank table and that means Australia still holds the first position and gets $175,000 prize money.
