It was another good day for India in business as they posted a mammoth total of 610 runs for the loss of 6 wickets before declaring the innings. Virat Kohli broke a handful of records as he reached his 5th double century to continue his good run this season. Rohit Sharma also grasped his opportunity with both hands as he scored a brilliant century after a gap of four years. Sri Lanka lost an early wicket of Sadeera Samarawickrama at the fag end of the day and is striving for an innings defeat.

India continued to dominate from the second day as Pujara and Kohli scored runs at will. Sri Lankan bowlers looked uncomfortable and were struggling for wickets when Virat Kohli reached his 19th International hundred. However, with minutes left for lunch interval, Pujara got bowled as Shanaka sneaked one through underneath his bat. Ajinkya Rahane once again failed to impress on a flat deck as he fell shortly after scoring two runs off Dilruwan Perera.

Kohli and Rohit Sharma then played some amazing shots as they shared a 173 run stand before Kohli got out after scoring a brilliant double hundred. Getting an unexpected chance, Rohit Sharma grabbed the opportunity with both hands as he scored a brilliant hundred off 160 balls to make a mark of himself ahead of the South Africa tour.

In their second innings, Sri Lanka lost their first wicket in the second ball of the first over off Ishant Sharma as Samarawickrama misjudged the swing which clipped the top of his off-stump. With two days still left, the Islanders will try to save the match and, on the other hand, India, who has the upper hand in the game will be keen to finish off the game tomorrow.

Ishant's bowling a positive in this test. Would be really hard for @imVkohli to pick his fast bowling lineup for the next test. #NerolacCricketLive #INDvSL @StarSportsIndia
