Virat Kohli is a Role Model for Every Budding Cricketers: Cheteshwar Pujara

Team India skipper Virat Kohli is considered one of the greatest batsmen of the modern generation, and from youngsters to veterans, everyone draws inspiration from Kohli. Without a doubt, he is one of the fittest cricketers around if not the fittest and wants his team also to follow the same pattern and be the fittest side in the world. He is an athlete per excellence and wants every member of his team to be fit and competitive.
One of the most dependable batsman in the longest format Chetesthwar Pujara on Friday heaped praises on his skipper terming his work ethics as remarkable and a perfect example for the young budding cricketers.
“Virat is someone who leads from the front. His work ethics are remarkable. The youngsters learn from him. Not just in India, the players across the world try to learn from his success mantra,” Pujara was quoted as saying by NDTV.

He also feels that Kohli’s fitness regime has also helped him raise his game to a different level.
“Fitness is very important nowadays. I have been training for one-and-a-half years, and it has helped me in becoming a better player. I recover better (from match fatigue). The game is moving forward. All the guys in the team are aware of their fitness and want to improve. If you keep working hard on your fitness, your score gets better,” Pujara said.
When asked the difference in opinions and styles of former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and current captain Kohli Pujara said:
“Both captains wanted the Indian team to win. I have enjoyed playing under MS Dhoni, and since Virat has taken over, I have to enjoy my cricket with him too.”
Team India will take on New Zealand in the 3rd and the decisive encounter at the Green Park in Kanpur tomorrow. For the first time, Kanpur will be hosting a day-night encounter. The series is tied at 1-1 as both teams will be looking to seal the series. While New Zealand will look to win their first series on Indian soil, India will be aiming their 7th straight series win.
