He really changed my perspective, my dedication towards cricket: Sanju Samson on Virat Kohli
Sanju Samson has revealed a conversation with Virat Kohli which changed his perspective towards his fitness and career. Kohli told him to leave aside everything and focus on cricket for the next 10 years because after that he won’t be able to play the sport.
“When I was in the gym with the Indian team, I was there with Virat bhai. I asked him what is his training routine and how he puts so much energy into fitness.I kept on asking him a lot of such different questions. Then he asked me ‘Sanju how many years are you going to play cricket’, so I said that I am 25 right now, and I can play for another 10 years or so,” told Sanju Samson.

Virat Kohli told me I can do whatever else I want after 10 years: Sanju Samson
“Then Virat told me, after 10 years you can do whatever, you can eat food from Kerala and whatever else you want to do, but you won’t be able to play cricket after these 10 years. So, why don’t you give everything, whatever you have, to cricket in these 10 years. So, he really changed my perspective, my dedication towards cricket. I was already very dedicated, but this made me further change the way I think,” Samson added.
Rajasthan Royals to face Kolkata Knight Riders in their next match in IPL 2020
The Steve Smith-led team will face KKR at the Dubai International stadium. It will be RR’s first match away from the Sharjah. The Knight Riders won their last match against SunRisers Hyderabad pretty convincingly after losing their first match against Mumbai Indians.

With the arrival of Jos Buttler back in the team, RR’s upper batting order with Jos Buttler, Samson and Smith looks top class but their middle-order still have to prove themselves.
