Having made debut in 2008 for the national team in Dambulla, Kohli had never looked back. He became the sign of consistency and was the backbone of Indian batting order over the past five years.
The Indian skipper is currently touring Sri Lanka and will play the one off T20I against them. He will be visibly happy after managing to win the Test series by 3-0 and ODI series by 5-0. The team will look to round off the tour with a perfect score, as they eye to win the T20I game this week.
Kohli will then lead India in the home series against Australia, as they clash in both ODIs and T20Is later this month.
